The Dean is responsible for the leadership and management of all academic programs, human resources, budget, facilities, equipment, and students in the Harmon College of Business and Professional Studies. The Dean reports to the Provost/Vice President for Academic Affairs and serves as a member of the Provost Council.
About The Harmon College of Business and Professional Studies
The Harmon College of Business and Professional Studies is organized into eight academic departments and four academic support units (Max B Swisher Skyhaven Airport, the Missouri Safety Center, Welch-Schmidt Center for Communication Disorders, and the Marriage and Family Therapy Clinic). The college is composed of approximately 140 full-time faculty and staff with an annual budget of approximately $20 million. In the Fall 2024 semester, the college enrolled 1,732 undergraduate and 747 graduate students across 18 undergraduate and 9 master’s degree programs. Additional certificate and minors are available, as well. Several programs in the college hold specialized accreditation. The Harmon Professional Edge program is a signature college program for undergraduate students designed to develop prepare students for the world of professional work through curricular and co-curricular opportunities.
