Your Role:
In collaboration with the Single Use and Integrated Systems Applications team, you will:
Lead a team of scientists and engineers to drive innovation in downstream bioprocessing systems and applications. Prioritize and execute the development of new technologies that address customer needs. Guide the team in brainstorming ideas, creating test plans, analyzing results, delivering data sets, and making recommendations to ensure successful product development and customer adoption
Offer expertise in downstream bioprocessing techniques such as clarification, cell retention, chromatography, viral inactivation, TFF, viral filtration, and final fill, with a focus on intensified and continuous processing. Maintain a lab environment that mirrors real customer processes and promote knowledge sharing through participation in industry networks and gathering customer feedback
Facilitate strong communication across cross-functional teams, including R&D, marketing, strategy, business development, and commercial sectors. Collaborate to ensure that resources are aligned with the most impactful objectives and deliver innovations that drive strategic goals
Promote open communication, support employee growth and development, encourage innovation and calculated risk-taking, and improve team prioritization and planning processes to build a positive and engaging team culture
Who You Are
Minimum Qualifications:
You possess a B.S. in Chemical/Biological Engineering or a related scientific discipline with 7+ years of experience in a related technical area, or MS/MBA with 5+ years of experience or PhD with 3+ years of experience
Preferred Qualifications
You possess a B.S. in Chemical/Biological Engineering or a related scientific discipline with 10+ years of experience in a related technical area, or MS/MBA with 7+ years of experience or PhD with 5+ years of experience
You have strong technical expertise and hands-on experience in antibody purification, including filtration and chromatography
You are knowledgeable and have demonstrated success in product development for GMP bioprocessing applications or biomanufacturing process development
You have a proven ability to communicate effectively with peers, customers, vendors, and stakeholders through written reports, oral presentations, and timely discussions
You exhibit leadership skills through managing people or projects
You are familiar with the MilliporeSigma product portfolio
