Job Summary:

Supermicro is seeking an experience Storage Solution Engineer who can play a pivotal role in implementing, and supporting advanced storage solutions tailored to meet the needs of enterprise, AI, and high-performance computing (HPC) environments. This role involves working closely with product management to provide technical expertise in pre-sales consultations, solution architecture, and post-sales deployment.

The Storage Solution Engineer will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of storage solution offerings, from initial requirement gathering and solution design to installation, configuration, and ongoing support. This includes integrating a variety of hardware and software platforms from industry-leading vendors. The role also involves troubleshooting complex technical issues, ensuring optimal system performance, and serving as a trusted advisor to product team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design and architect scalable storage solutions based on customer needs and project specifications
• Provide pre-sales technical support, including product demonstrations, proof of concepts (POCs), and answering technical queries
• Collaborate with the product team to develop tailored solutions that align with customer objectives and business goals
• Lead the deployment and configuration of storage hardware and software, ensuring smooth and timely implementations
• Deliver post-sales technical support, troubleshooting, and resolving complex issues in customer environments
• Stay updated on emerging storage technologies and industry trends to offer customers cutting-edge solutions
• Conduct training sessions and knowledge transfer to internal teams and customers as needed
• Create detailed technical documentation, including solution designs, configurations, and troubleshooting guides
• Write and maintain custom automation application to increase system efficiency and minimize any human intervention on any tasks
• Work closely with vendors and partners to ensure seamless integration of hardware and software in the solution stack

Qualifications:

• Bachelor or above in Computer Science or other Engineering related major is desirable
• Minimum of 5 years working experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting. UNIX/Linux based environments is preferred
• In-depth technology knowledge on Computer/GPU server, storage and network system
• Strong understanding of storage technologies and architectures (SAN, NAS, object storage, etc.)
• Experience with enterprise storage systems, AI workloads, and HPC environments
• Proficiency in working with a range of storage products
• Hands-on experience with deployment, configuration, and performance tuning of storage systems
• Solid script writing skills (Shell Scripts, Python)
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
• Excellent communication and customer-facing skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Experience in AI Technology, Virtualization and Containerization are a plus

Salary Range

$73,000 - $120,000

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
