Our Shoreline team within NVIDIA enables operating GPU clusters at scale. Shoreline distributed platform helps to diagnose problems, repair and validate GPU clusters. Our mission is to deliver best in class automation platform for the data center operations.

We are looking for a Software Engineer based on Santa Clara, CA with a keen interest in developing scalable backend subsystems to join our team. As a Software Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of innovation, contributing to a team that is revolutionizing the computing world.

What you'll be doing:


  • Crafting and implementing new features for a distributed platform that automates diagnosing and fixing a cluster of GPUs or CPUs across various cloud environments and hardware.


  • Adding new functionality related to network topology-aware resource subsystems in a cluster of GPUs.


  • Developing scalable components within a distributed backend using Go and Rust programming languages.


  • Optimizing performance for various backend modules to ensure flawless execution.


  • Implementing distributed and time-partitioned persistence stores in Rust.


  • Delivering high-impact projects with outstanding quality, performance, and stability with the lowest resource consumption.


  • Developing a robust feedback control system that analyzes signals about system health and automatically runs commands to fix discovered issues.



What we need to see:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).


  • At least 2 years of Software Engineering experience.


  • Proficiency in programming in C/C++, Rust, or Go.


  • Strong grasp of algorithms and data structures.


  • Drive to excel and achieve ambitious goals.



Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Good understanding of multi-threading and distributed systems concepts.


  • Familiarity with optimizing SQL queries.


  • Knowledge of Rust programming to successfully implement high-performance solutions.

The base salary range is 120,000 USD - 189,750 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.

You will also be eligible for equity and benefits. NVIDIA accepts applications on an ongoing basis.
