The Interconnect Engineer will be responsible for providing complete technical oversight and project management for Radio Access Network (RAN) expansion projects with an emphasis on 5G C-Band expansion and Transport Upgrade projects. This individual will partner with various Network Engineering & Operations teams across the Southwest Region, and support the geographical areas of Las Vegas, Arizona, New Mexico, and El Paso.
Lead the Transport Engineering efforts for a major regional wireless network program ie. Macro, Small Cell, In-Building / Venue, or Temporary Assets.
Lead the Transport Engineering efforts for a regional transport network program, including the project management and coordination.
Engineer an end-to-end transport solution including but not limited to fiber or microwave technologies.
Vendor selection, including general contractors and transport vendors, based on technical requirements, price, and timelines. Support contract negotiations and execution efforts
Design and coordinate the implementation of transport equipment requirements, including ordering, installation, and integration onto the network.
Inventory all equipment, circuit paths, and segments in CND
Provide all IP assignments for all networked equipment through INAM
Partner and collaborate with internal and external partners, including providing technical support when needed
Track and forecast project milestones within the Fuze database
Attend and participate in project meetings
Must Have Skills (Most Important):
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related field, or four or more years of relevant work experience.
Self-motivated, shows initiative, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Work effectively with little to no supervision
Excellent communicator who works well in a team with diverse disciplines
Highly productive and pays close attention to detail.
Proficient understanding of Microsoft Excel and the ability to work with large amounts of data efficiently.
Ability to learn new technology quickly and apply working knowledge of wireless engineering on new projects.
Desired skills:
Four or more years of experience in the Wireless Network industry, preferably in a Network Transport engineering role
Knowledge and proficiency in one or more of the following platforms and/or technologies:
Nokia Routing Technologies: 7250 Platform, 7750 Platform.
Data Transport systems, including L3/L2 and segment routing
Optical Technologies, including CWDM / DWDM
Ericsson RF Technologies
Four or more years of experience in the Wireless Network industry, preferably in a Network Transport engineering role
Project Management Experience.
Knowledge and experience with Granite circuit database
Experience in office computer applications: Word, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project.
Executive level troubleshooting, problem solving, project management, and interpersonal skills.
Superior organizational and planning skills

Shift: 8AM-5PM, MON-FRI
Location: Phoenix, AZ (Offices in Chandler and Phoenix)
Hybrid working environment, working up to 5 days in the office
