The Air Compliance Engineer for this position will be responsible for permitting, compliance, reporting and emission estimating to support field operations, business development and climate initiatives. The position will be located in Lakewood, CO.Minimum requirements:
Education:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Engineering; or
Bachelor's degree in a related discipline (e.g. Environmental Science)
Experience/Specific Knowledge:
Minimum of 2 to 6 years direct and active work experience with air permitting and compliance in oil and gas (production, gathering & boosting, gas processing, transmission & storage, produced & fresh water handling), liquid (oil & fuels) terminals, refining & supply, energy and/or power sectors
Work experience with ACTS/Enablon, TankESP, Hysis, GLYCalc, LeakTracker Pro, Guideware, state compliance submittal systems, CEDRI and/or other air and climate related software and web based programs
Working knowledge of Federal Clean Air Act and State regulations where Tallgrass assets are located
Experience in successfully interacting with Federal, State and local agency officials related to air permitting and compliance
Proficient in Microsoft applications that may include, but are not limited to, Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook
Certifications, Licenses & Registrations:
Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers (for travel)

The successful candidate will be required to clear a drug screen and a complete background check, including credit report for certain positions, after an offer has been extended and prior to being employed.
Above the minimum requirements, not required but advantageous in this position:
Bachelor of Science in Environmental, Chemical, Petroleum, Civil, etc. Engineering
Active State-registered Professional Engineering license

Compensation:
The annual salary for this position will be $125,000 - $153,000/yr.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
Navigate and drive continuous process and systems improvement
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with various groups within the Company, environmental agencies, and consultants
Maintain attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to clearly communicate regulatory requirements and processes
Perform the required and expected duties with minimal supervision
Provide systemwide support to field operations to ensure compliance with applicable air requirements
Steward compliance and maintain a comprehensive knowledge and interpretations of air and climate policies, procedures, permit conditions, regulations, standards and guidelines
Design and complete emission calculations and inventories in various emission software programs
Coordinate and support emission tests
Visit Tallgrass assets to verify and steward compliance and participate as the primary contact in agency inspections
Schedule, oversee, complete, and review operational monitoring and associated data
Develop, review, maintain and submit records required to demonstrate compliance with environmental requirements
Plan, organize, coordinate and manage execution of obtaining air permits in a timely manner
Work with business development, project management, field operations and other groups to ensure new and modified operations secure required permits and authorizations
Maintain a high regard for personal safety, for the safety of company assets and employees, and the general public
Perform other daily, weekly, monthly or special project duties as identified and defined
