This position starts at $22.25/hr. and potential for overtime.



Production Team Member - Kitchen


Applicants will be considered for a general labor type opening in the Kitchen for de-boxing meat, grinding meat blending/formulating, stuffing product, Wolfking operation, hanging product repeatedly above shoulder level, fermentation/tree transfer, casing product, and other duties as assigned by supervisor or lead person. Must be willing to tolerate temperatures of 35 degrees or below for entire shift, be able to push/manipulate up to 60 pounds repeatedly, be able to walk and stand on concrete floor for the shift duration and able to follow both verbal and written instructions. The Team Member must be willing to complete all required training for the job and perform any other duties as assigned.


Must be available to work all shift, including weekends, and available for overtime. All job offers are based on the conditions that the candidate can provide proof of authorization to work legally in the United States and pass a urinalysis screening which is part of the post-offer health assessment. Only candidates from the following counties will be considered: Alameda County.


POSITION SUMMARY:

Physical Requirements: The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.





  • Must be willing and able to De-boxing frozen meat, grinding meat blending/formulating, stuffing product, Wolfking operation, hanging product repeatedly above shoulder level, fermentation/tree transfer, and casing product.






  • Must be willing and able to complete all required training for the job.






  • Must be willing and able to perform any other work as assigned by supervisor or lead person.






  • Must be willing and able to comply with all general safety, food safety, GMP and SQF requirements.






  • Must willing and able to perform all positions of rotation, if applicable.






  • Must be willing and able to work overtime and/or weekends as needed and all shifts.






  • Must be willing and able to push/pull/lift with arms below waist/at shoulder/above shoulder level up to 60 pounds repeatedly.






  • Must be willing and able to push/manipulate up to 60 pounds repeatedly.






  • Must be willing and able to tolerate temperatures of 35 degrees or below for entire shift, be willing and able to walk and stand on concrete floor for the shift duration.






  • Must be willing and able to follow both verbal and written instructions.








  • As part of the job application, candidates must add their SS# at the end of the process. If SS# is not added the candidate cannot be processed.










Rehires: Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson will have a minimum rehire waiting period of 180 days and are limited to 3 times of employment.
