Discovery Education is looking for a Regional Marketing Manager to join our marketing events team. You are deeply aligned with our K12 sales organization with a focus on localized events and integrated campaigns designed to build and accelerate pipeline and revenue growth at the regional level across acquisition, expansion, and renewal. As a Regional Marketing Manager, you will work closely with our K12 sales organization, global marketing, and operations to strategize, develop, and execute regional marketing programs leveraging a mix of tactics including conferences, owned events, email, paid media, webinars, and direct mail designed to drive business results.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about collaboration, partnering with sales leaders, data-driven marketing, the value of personalization, and innovative marketing strategies. To thrive in this role, you will be results oriented with a focus on developing regional marketing plans and executing programs and events with excellence.
This role will sit in our Charlotte Headquarters with a hybrid schedule.
About the Role
Partner closely with the K12 sales team to understand needs, goals, and objectives to inform development of a regionalized marketing strategy.
Collaborate with Marketing and Sales to build targeted marketing programs, conferences, and owned events that support demand and revenue objectives.
Create and execute successful programs and events, including pre and post marketing, and ensure that prospects and customers are receiving a compelling experience that generates marketing qualified leads and sales opportunities.
Analyze event and program performance metrics to identify and implement optimization recommendations for future programs and events.
Travel to regional events as needed to oversee on-site execution and attendee experience.
Lead efforts to work collaboratively with the global marketing team to create personalized content to support sales efforts and regional marketing programs.
Manage budgets, event calendars, and lead management processes for multiple events and programs across multiple regions.
Oversee state level Adoption marketing efforts acting as the project manager for marketing activity associated with the Adoption.
Own relationships with regional sales leadership and their teams, fostering alignment, collaboration, and effective communication to ensure effective sales execution on all marketing activities.
Requirements
6+ years of experience in B2B regional marketing; Edtech preferred but not required.
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or equivalent work experience/related field.
Proven success in developing regional marketing strategies and managing regional marketing programs with a mix of tactics including email, paid media, events, direct mail, webinars, and outbound motions.
Seasoned relationship building and management with sales leaders and teams.
Experience with conference and events strategy, planning, logistics, promotion, and performance analysis.
Data-driven, “test and learn” mindset with experience analyzing results to provide recommendations.
Effective project management, time management, prioritization, communication, attention to detail, and collaboration.
Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast paced, team-oriented environment.
Innovative, curious, and continuously learning from customers, data, teammates, and market research to inform strategy and amplify results.
Experience with CRM and MAP such as Salesforce and Marketo.
Ability to travel 25%.
