Job Description:

Starting Rate: $110,000-$125,000

Work Hours: Day shift with touchpoints across a 24/7 operation

Location : We have 2 locations in Crawfordsville: North Plant at 1009 Sloan Street; South Plant at 600 State Road 32 West.

As our Operations Manager, you will:


  • Oversee and direct the manufacture of products in the North Plant Operations and Deluxe Department to consistently meet Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Productivity goals.
  • Maintain proper staffing to support demand forecast and balance overall workload appropriately
  • Develop & manage the oversight of million-dollar capital expense projects
  • Drive Continuous Improvement efforts through Daily Gemba walks, the KATA process, and scheduling and supporting Kaizen activities.
  • Be trained and certified as a Lean Green Belt or Black Belt.
  • Coach Supervisors in effective problem solving, Root Cause Analysis, data-driven decision making, and A3 process
  • Provide manufacturing updates by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data; answering questions and responding to requests.
  • Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all equipment, and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize and accomplish group objectives.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor Degree in Management, Engineering or a related field. Advanced degree or equivalent work experience preferred
  • 10 plus years of leadership experience managing facilities up to 200 employees preferred, including management of production supervisors
  • Demonstrated ability to lead people and achieve business objectives.
  • Deep knowledge of Lean principles
  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
  • Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
  • Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Suites
  • Prior experience working with various manufacturing based software
  • Capital project leadership experience desired
