RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client that is seeking a TEMPEST Engineer in Carlsbad, CA.

Responsibilities:

• TEMPEST Engineer will collaborate with analog and digital hardware design engineers and mechanical engineers to create TEMPEST compliant products


• Recommending circuits, participate in design reviews and conduct tests on new TEMPEST solutions


• Review Schematic/CAD designs for accuracy


• Crafting TEMPEST test plans, procedures, and reports


• Participate in the initial Certification and Submittal phase of TEMPEST facility and oversee certification under the TEMPEST Manufacturing and Test Services Program


• Perform testing in accordance with NSTISSAM TEMPEST/1-92, CNSSAM TEMPEST 01-02


• Collaborate with test technicians to conduct experimental (engineering) and formal (for score) TEMPEST tests


• As a TEMPEST Engineer, you will complete production sampling TEMPEST program


• Liaise with NSA to achieve successful TEMPEST test results and product certification


• Support the EMI/EMC qualification of products

REQUIREMENTS:

• 5+ years of hardware design for TEMPEST secure products


• 3+ years of proven TEMPEST experience


• Extensive experience with NSTISSAM TEMPEST/1-92 and CNSSAM TEMPEST/01-02 specifications


• Proven familiarity with TEMPEST test equipment such as TEMPEST receivers, oscilloscopes, dynamic signal analyzers, signal generators, etc.


• Foundational knowledge of analog and digital logic and timing considerations

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
