SA-TECH supports the U.S. Army Sustainment Command's Enhance Army Global Logistics Enterprise Logistics Support Services at Schofield Barracks and Pohakuloa Training Area, HI. We provide maintenance services in the form of above-brigade-level, field, sustainment, and limited depot-level maintenance support as well as transportation counseling services and handling passenger, equipment, and cargo movements for Army Field Support Battalion Hawaii's (AFSBn-HAW) assigned tactical units and government affiliated civilian agencies.
At Schofield Barracks, HI, SA-TECH is seeking to hire a Motor Vehicle Operator for the Modernization Displacement Repair Site (MDRS) to perform a wide range of driving and transportation duties essential to the divestiture and redistribution of military equipment.
Primary duties include (but are not limited to):
Operate a variety of gasoline- and diesel-powered vehicles, including box trucks, tractors, buses, and fuel trucks, to transport cargo, equipment, and personnel.
Utilize flat-bed and lowboy trailers, coupled using a turntable (fifth wheel) or pivotal hook, to safely transport articles and materials, ensuring all loads are properly secured prior to departure.
Operate Material Handling Equipment (MHE) with capacities ranging from 2,000 to 50,000 lbs. for loading, unloading, transferring, stacking, and unstacking cargo, equipment, hazardous materials, and supplies, after obtaining the necessary certifications.
Deliver materials and equipment to various installations, adhering to Federal and State transportation regulations.
Additional responsibilities include:
Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections on vehicles and equipment, reporting and performing basic maintenance as required.
Complete and submit all necessary documentation, including timesheets, daily trip logs, and inspection reports, accurately and promptly.
Enforce safety rules and regulations during all operations, ensuring compliance with environmental, safety, and security protocols.
Perform housekeeping tasks, assist with driving tactical vehicles, and provide support for contract requirements as necessary.
Work Conditions:
Most work will be driving/operating motor vehicles.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs. unassisted.
Regular work hours are Monday through Friday, 0700-1600, with the possibility of assigned overtime to meet contract demands.
Must be available to perform duties as needed to support MDRS operations.
Requirements:
Education/Experience/Skills
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Knowledge of Federal and State transportation regulations.
Experience performing pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and basic maintenance.
Ability to operate Material Handling Equipment (MHE) and secure necessary certifications for equipment ranging from 2,000 to 50,000 lbs.
Strong attention to detail, ability to follow instructions, and timely completion of paperwork.
Familiarity with policies and procedures outlined in the Performance Work Statement (PWS).
Relocation assistance is not provided and candidates must reside within commuting distance or indicate a willingness to relocate at their own expense.
Current Driver's License required; must be able to be insured through company's vehicle insurance policy while driving work/government/rental vehicles during working hours, and for the duration of employment.
U.S. Citizenship required and you must be able to obtain a U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance prior to hire date and maintain a Secret clearance throughout employment.
All candidates will be required to pass background screening to include SSN, Driver Record, and Criminal Background Investigation.
