Job Summary:


The Product Manager is responsible for defining the strategy, roadmap, and features of a product by deeply understanding customer needs, analyzing market trends, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the Product successfully meets business objectives and delivers value to users throughout its lifecycle.


The Product Manager position is a leadership role with broad responsibilities across CRL, overseeing multiple projects to ensure alignment with organizational goals. The position involves planning and executing complex programs/projects, adhering to strict deadlines and budgets, and driving accountability throughout CRL. Responsibilities include defining and overseeing project scope, budget, timeline, and other relevant KPIs.


The ideal candidate will demonstrate exemplary leadership, a positive attitude, strong organizational and teamwork skills, attention to detail, and a sense of urgency. They should also possess proven self-directed project management skills and experience with project/product lifecycle activities.


Overall, the Product Manager plays a key role in driving efficiency and achieving strategic objectives within the organization.


 



Responsibilities



  • Create a program vision and strategy for the category, including go-to-market plans, launch plans, sales readiness, and competitive positioning. Ensure that product strategies are highly aligned with CRL's vision and that the supply base is aligned with and capable of supporting these strategies. Owns the roadmap that is the condensate version of that product line vision.

  • Define value proposition, key selling, and messaging points for the product line. Partner closely with Digital and Product Marketing teams to develop collateral and website content to support new and existing products.

  • Gathers, manages, and prioritizes market/customer requirements.

  • Acts as the customer advocate articulating the user’s and/or buyer’s needs.

  • Works closely with engineering, sales, marketing, and support to ensure business case and customer satisfaction goals are met.

  • Has technical product knowledge or specific domain expertise.

  • Lead all aspects of product lifecycle management including portfolio optimization, in-portfolio pricing, launch strategy, ongoing category analysis, and end-of-life strategy.

  • Identify new business growth opportunities; new products, expanded distribution with current customers, new channels of distribution with new customers. Evaluate all opportunities from a P&L standpoint to guide Sales, Marketing, and Product Development.

  • Conduct ongoing competitor and industry analysis, and reporting, highlighting white space opportunities, and strategies to enhance existing portfolio.

  • Remain current on market trends and innovations across all relevant industries, bringing vision and insights to innovation pipeline discussion.



  • Lead development of new products from identification through commercialization.



Salary Range $120,000 to $130,000
