About the Position:
The Quality Assurance Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality procedures to ensure the components, subassemblies, and assemblies delivered to C.R. Laurence from its suppliers meet our quality standards. Additionally, the individual will implement procedures for the incoming receiving inspection of products and materials. This role will also be ultimately responsible for resolution if Quality related customer complains.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Build and implement vendor Quality Control Process and Procedures
Review and communicate Quality Control Reports with vendors (Domestic and Overseas)
Communicate Quality feedback to vendors (Domestic and Overseas)
Serve as a liaison between our company's senior management and the vendors to identify quality issues and come up with solutions.
Visit vendor facilities (where applicable) and assess their Quality procedures, consistency and capability
Perform regular quality control audits to ensure vendors continue to work in compliance with company and standards.
Conduct tests and assessments on products to ensure quality compliance.
Conduct supplier quality control audits on a regular basis to ensure suppliers and their products remain in compliance with company and industry quality standards.
Communicate with suppliers regularly to address concerns and foster an environment that facilitates continual improvement.
Maintain a supplier database and include performance evaluations and quality control audits in the database for in-house access by company management personnel.
Visit supplier facilities to review and assess their Quality procedures Provide technical advice and guidance to ensure proper implementation of QC plans and metric reporting.
Perform regular internal quality control audits to ensure compliance with company quality standards.
Develop Internal Quality Assurance process for inbound material and products from suppliers to check for defects and ensure quality.
Maintain detailed reports on supplier quality, including defect rates and areas that result in non-conformances.
Provide investigation, response, and follow-up to product quality issues.
Coordinate and maintain supplier first article inspections with CRL Product Management and Quality Assurance personnel.
Lead cross-functional teams as required to resolve Quality claims and non compliances.
Support, assist and audit suppliers with root cause analysis and corrective action planning, as required.
Qualification Requirements:
A bachelor's degree in Quality, Manufacturing Management, Engineering or equivalent.
Proficiency in Six Sigma & lean management are preferred. Certification of quality control is an advantage (ISO 9000 etc.)
7 years of experience in Quality Assurance Management, Manufacturing or relevant field Experienced with methodologies of quality assurance and standards.
Excellent numerical skills and understanding of data analysis/statistical methods as well as Quality Assurance skills
