Overview
We are in search of a self-motivated, highly-organized, experienced study coordinator to work under the dual supervision of 2 Principal Investigators (PIs) on their distinct areas of research: one in sexual and reproductive health research and the other in nephrology. The Study Coordinator will be responsible for coordination of all study activities and procedures including overseeing participant recruitment, overseeing consenting, data collection, analysis and dissemination of results. They will be required to balance work load between the two PIs.
Responsibilities
Work with Principal Investigators and study teams to oversee the daily activities and needs of research studies, including meeting logistics and arrangements.
Coordinate and participate in community engagement activities, sometimes in the evenings
Coordinate data collection, transcription, analysis and cleaning, performing regular audits to ensure that the data collected are complete, accurate and properly stored.
Oversee the process by which participants are recruited into the study and retained.
Maintain oversight of participant data, databases, consenting and providing reimbursements.
Coordinate and participate in analysis team meetings, including developing and applying coding schemes and memo development.
Facilitate the preparation of conference abstracts, oral presentations, and poster presentations, and participate in the development of manuscripts for publication. Manuscript preparation includes managing citations and journal submissions.
Represent the study at internal and external academic meetings and community events. Act as a liaison to project partners to discuss new procedures that could be implemented.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree is required
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, Dedoose, Zoom and have the ability to apply technology to resolve problems.
Outstanding judgment, initiative, and attention to detail are essential. Must be able manage competing priorities while supporting more than one PI.
Can be relied upon to ensure that activities within areas of specific responsibility are completed in a timely manner.
Outline project goals and timelines and reviews progress at defined intervals.
Excellent academic writing skills.
Ability to work well in a team setting and independently is essential.
