Your Role:



As Corporate Counsel in the Life Science legal department, you will serve as a valued business partner to a range of groups within the Science and Lab Solutions business of MilliporeSigma, which offers a broad portfolio of scientific products and tools for customers across academia, pharma, industrial, testing, and diagnostics, including its North America commercial and business development operations.


You will provide a full range of legal support for these groups, including drafting and negotiating various agreements, providing guidance to management on relevant legal and business matters, reviewing, evaluating, and advising internal clients on business opportunities and process improvements, identifying and mitigating risk, coordinating and leading outside counsel for vital topics, and training colleagues and internal clients on related legal issues and standards. You may also provide support for corporate governance matters, external/internal communications and marketing operations and other company/department priorities.



Location: Burlington, MA



Travel: < 10%; International and Domestic



Who You Are




Minimum Qualifications:



  • Juris Doctor (JD)

  • Minimum three (3) years of experience as a US qualified lawyer working at large law firm or multinational corporate legal department

  • You are curious, self motivated, and work well both individually and collaboratively as part of a team

  • You have the ability to spot issues and to propose a range of potential solutions within a reasonable risk profile

  • You are an agile team player with a flexible mindset and excellent communication skills

  • You are business-oriented with pragmatic problem-solving skills

  • You are curious, and have a strong desire to learn about technology and products


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience with customer-facing negotiations

  • Experience in commercial contracting matters and international business transactions
