Job Description:

Job Purpose:



Our Distribution Supervisor will be responsible for planning, directing, and monitoring the day-to-day operational activities for a team to ensure a competitive service advantage is achieved by maintaining a high degree of accuracy and customer service.



Job Responsibilities:

• Supervise various distribution center tasks to ensure all goods and supplies are shipped, received, stored, and recorded accurately following established procedures.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiencies and optimize cost effectiveness.
• Analyze the warehouse metrics and prepare reports and inventory control documents using • Microsoft Office and existing systems.
• Supervise and lead a team.
• Monitor and adjust employee schedules and workloads to enhance efficiencies and ensure high-priority tasks are achieved.
• Participate in the hiring process and management of distribution center staff.
• Ensure the highest level of customer service is being executed and develop methods to improve the quality of service for all employees, vendors, and suppliers.
• Motivate and hold the team accountable for achieving local and company goals.
• Maintain a culture of safety that follows the organization's Health, Safety and Environmental (HS&E) policies to identify and mitigate environmental risks and risks to oneself and others in the workplace. Instruct the team in safe working methods and escalate serious issues as appropriate.



Additional Responsibilities & Qualifications:

• Familiarity with mid-range and mainframe systems and Warehouse Management System (WMS) is a plus
• Perform additional duties as required.


Salary Range: $75-80K annually



Work Experience:

• 3-5 years of related experience of successful supervisory/management experience required to motivate and develop direct reports, as well as size up new talent.
• 3-5 years of related job experience.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, work under pressure, and adapt to sudden changes in the work environment.
• Excellent verbal, written, people, and diplomacy skills are required.
• Professional safety, environmental, and DOT management experience. General knowledge of applicable safety, environmental. and DOT governmental regulations, specifically OSHA, EPA, and DOT and their applications if required.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Warehouse experience required preferably working in a distribution environment.



Education:

• Associate/Bachelor's Degree Preferred



Working Conditions:

The work environment for this position requires:
• Regularly working in a non-climate-controlled warehouse where exposure to cold, heat, damp or humid conditions may occur.
• Exposure to loud noise.
• Exposure to dust, mechanical hazards, moving objects, and moving vehicles.



Physical Requirements:

The physical requirements listed below are representative of those needed to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
• Ability to lift, twist and carry up 50 - 75 pounds, manipulate (push and pull) up to 160 pounds of product with material handling equipment and skids weighing up to 2,000 pounds utilizing pallet jack.
• Walking/Standing - walk throughout the warehouse to complete customer orders. Stand when operating order picker or reach truck equipment and when operating cutter.
• Sitting - sit only when driving sit-down material handling equipment.
• Lifting - lift items weighing a few ounces up to 150 pounds with assistance .
• Stooping - performed when filling orders or putting away products assigned to floor level locations. May bend at the waist.
• Kneeling - kneel when filling orders or putting away products assigned to floor level locations.
