Our CAS Practice provides all back-office accounting functions for our clients, which may include all transactional services, accounts payable and receivables, or bank transactions. We are searching for an individual that can help grow our Healthcare Industry vertical in this Practice. Our ideal candidate will be based out of our Philadelphia, Dallas or Houston office, but are opened to other locations where we have an office. This role will have a heavy business development focus with building out a book of business, while also serving the clients.
You will be an advisor selling, planning and administering large and complex outsourced accounting engagements for healthcare clients. You will work side-by-side with firm leadership and our associates to serve clients and build the business, having a direct impact on the firm's success. You will be a valued mentor and coach to a group of talented staff, utilizing your expertise to help develop their technical and professional skills. What will you do:

As a Principal, you will be a trusted leader of Baker Tilly's CAS Practice. You will help grow our Practice, focused on healthcare clients on a National Scale. You will also oversee and lead client relationships on day-to-day delivery and handle all phases of planning and administering large and complex outsourced accounting engagements. This will require extensive knowledge of hands-on GAAP experience. You will be responsible for all aspects of staff development and performance and work side by side with our other Principals in our CAS Practice to drive overall growth for the firm.
You will also:


  • Manage client engagement staffing, billings/collections, and ensure client profitability targets are met


  • Utilize your entrepreneurial skills to network and build strong relationships internally and externally with the goal of acquiring new clients, projects, and revenue. Actively participate in request for proposals to pursue additional clients/services for the firm


  • Participate with other service line leadership in developing market positioning and branding, strategy, and messaging


  • Invest in your professional development individually and through participation in firm wide learning and development programs


  • Support the growth and development of team members, helping associates meet their professional goals along with proactively supporting the recruitment efforts of future team members


  • Demonstrate leadership, initiative, excellent team skills, and high ethical standards


  • Represents the firm at key community events, firm functions, and other meetings


Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, or related field. CPA Certification is highly desired.


  • Fifteen (15) + years' experience in public accounting, with a focus on outsourced accounting experience working with healthcare clients, with at least five (5+) years of supervisory experience counseling associates


  • Must have experience being a Principal/Partner with a professional service firm and have experience building out Practices


  • A proven track record of delivering high-quality outsourced accounting services, managing complex accounting issues


  • Exceptional leadership experience with demonstrated ability to motivate, inspire and elevate team performance


  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain long-term client relationships, identify and pursue new business opportunities and generate revenue growth


  • A proactive, innovative and solution-oriented mindset with excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills


  • Must be willing and able to travel as needed to serve clients
