The Opportunity

Our firm's Talent, Organization & People (TOP) team is experiencing significant growth in various locations. We are seeking individuals at the Manager, Director, and Senior Director levels to join our team to deliver large, complex, and transformational client engagements. We are looking for accomplished transformation leaders with the background and capabilities to optimize human capital strategies, enhance organizational effectiveness, and drive transformational change. Our team of experts collaborates with clients to develop and implement talent, organization, and people solutions that align with their strategic goals and improve overall performance.

Interested parties should have a strong background in leading and delivering transformational change strategies; integrated organizational design and development programs (having worked with different functional groups to drive organizational improvements); leadership, talent, workforce strategies and programs; or HR functional experience in consulting or industry. Core to this experience is the ability to work with and solve client challenges through data-driven influence and interpersonal skills.

Role Expectations - Manager:


  • Effectively leads workstreams

  • Leads self and teammates to achieve objectives set with project leadership direction

  • Plans and designs work by using structured problem-solving framework and methodologies

  • Interfaces with client regularly and possesses strong executive presence

  • Provides significant support on proposal and sales efforts

  • Actively seeks to identify client's needs that may lead to new opportunities for A&M; manages personal relationships in a business context and maintains an active network of business relationships

  • Establishes an inclusive environment that is positive and engages all team members

Role Expectations - Director:


  • Effectively leads project team to deliver project

  • Scopes and defines overall problem statement, solution and deliverables

  • Viewed as trusted business partner by client

  • Rapidly develops understanding of client's business

  • Decomposes complex issues, frames solution designs, and architects deliverables against SOW requirements

  • Actively seeks to find client's needs that may lead to new opportunities for A&M; uses personal network to discuss business opportunities

  • Acts as an effective change agent

  • Encourages a positive and inclusive team environment

  • Takes an active mentorship role within the practice

Role Expectations - Senior Director:


  • Demonstrates expertise in Talent, Organization, and/or People pillar focus areas

  • Effectively leads teams on complex projects by: setting clear direction, establishing clear expectations, ensuring quality of client / project team deliverable development

  • Views client problems from the perspective of the C-Suite and provides solutions to achieve results

  • Manages project budget, billings and collections

  • Surfaces expansion opportunities at existing clients; assists in closing new business leveraging business/personal relationships; contributes $2 million in collections per year by originating new opportunities using their network (net new or existing clients), and/or generating work from project expansion efforts within existing client including referring work to others across the firm

  • Leads proposal efforts

  • Actively works to mentor a diverse set of employees

  • Actively promotes a positive and inclusive team environment

Qualifications:


  • Managers: 4+; Directors: 7+; and Senior Directors: 10+ years of relevant industry and consulting experience

  • Outcome oriented

  • Entrepreneurial and commercial approach

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Strong business acumen and understanding of various industries and market dynamics

  • Proven track record of leading and managing complex client engagements and delivering results

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills

  • Strong interpersonal/team skills, high E.Q.

  • Working knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint

  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment

  • Ability to address strategic issues and act tactically understanding cross-functional requirements

  • Comfortable with travel

The salary range for Manager is $125,000 - $190,000, Director is $150,000 - $225,000 and Senior Director is $175,000 - $275,000 annually, dependent on several variables including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography. In addition, A&M offers a discretionary bonus program which is based on a number of factors, including individual and firm performance. Please ask your recruiter for details.

Regular employees working 30 or more hours per week are also entitled to participate in Alvarez & Marsal Holdings' fringe benefits consisting of healthcare plans, flexible spending and savings accounts, life, AD&D, and disability coverages at rates determined from time to time as well as a 401(k) retirement plan. Provided the eligibility requirements are met, employees will also receive a discretionary contribution to their 401(k) from Alvarez & Marsal. Additionally, employees are eligible for paid time off including vacation, personal days, seventy-two (72) hours of sick time (prorated for part time employees), ten federal holidays, one floating holiday, and parental leave. The amount of vacation and personal days available varies based on tenure and role type.
