What to expect:


Senior Software Engineer will be part of the Enterprise Applications team, working under the direction of the Senior Manager of the enterprise applications. This individual will function as the resident JDE development expert. The primary focus of this role will be to work with the Business Analysts and the business users, to help conceive the solution in JDE, do the detailed technical design, develop a robust solution understanding current and future needs of the business. Work with other team members and Analysts in other areas within IS, such as infrastructure, DBAs, CNC, PMs to support the successful deployment of the solution.


As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be required to be resourceful, confident under pressure, and has demonstrated skill in both time management and expectation management. You should be able to deliver effective presentations, solution walk-through and possess excellent communication skills. Senior Software engineer should have deep technical knowledge of the JDE system and the ability to architect solutions by mapping the functional design and the business problems to reusable, configurable and upgradable end-to-end technical solutions.


The successful candidate should have a bachelor's degree with a deep understanding of JDE/E1 technical areas, such as OMW, RDA, FDA, UDO, Caf\u00E9 One, UX One, Orchestrator, CNC aspects and security. Higher relevant education preferred. Position requires extensive relevant working experience.


A typical day for a Senior Software Engineer may include:

• Design, develop and test applications, interfaces, reports, data conversions and enhancements


• Help develop reports in ReportsNow software


• Combine technical problem-solving skills with the ability to debug operational and system issues


• Communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language


• Understand end-to-end application environment and work with other developers and business analysts to validate capabilities are being built according to strategic direction


• Include non-functional requirements (such as security, performance, roll-back, etc.) in the technical design


• Write and execute test cases to run unit test and manage defect tracking for development


• Utilize Martin Marietta SDLC methodologies, business requirements definition, process and change management


• Understand JDE E1 9.2 footprint at Martin Marietta and coordinate activities with infrastructure and DBA teams to implement changes

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science is required


• 5+ years of strong experience in JD Edwards- OMW, Applications (FDA), Reports (RDA), NER, Business Functions (Visual C++), and Business Services (JDeveloper)


• 5+ years of experience in integrating JD Edwards with third-party systems


• 3+ years of experience in reports using BI Publisher and ReportsNow


• 3+ years of experience in developing JD Edwards UX One components - Composite Pages, E1 Pages, Orchestrator, Caf\u00E9 One, Watchlists, Form Personalization, Form Extension and Notifications


• 3+ years of experience in developing JET pages with knowledge in HTML/JS/CSS


• 3+ years of hands-on experience in integrating JD Edwards via AIS server - Form Service, Data Service, External REST Connectors and Orchestrations


• Experience preferred with functional aspects of the following JD Edwards modules - Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Accounting, Tax, Fixed Assets, Lease Accounting, and all the Finance modules


• Travel may be required at times - 5%
