Director, K-12 Go-to-Market Implementation




College Board - BigFuture




Location: This is a fully remote role. Candidates who live near CB offices have the option of being fully remote or hybrid (Tuesday and Wednesday in office).

About the Team



BigFuture brings together a trusted community to help every learner own their future. The BigFuture Community team provides valuable resources and content to grow the reach of BigFuture to even more learners and leverages our audiences and programming to test and learn. To mobilize educators at all levels, this team coordinates cross-functional with other College Board teams including State and District Partnerships and Organizational Communications K-12 go-to-market strategy and implementation for BigFuture School, the mobile app for PSAT and in-school SAT test-takers. This team runs student and parent-facing efforts to drive traffic to BigFuture.org, including BigFuture Scholarships, which have awarded over $21 million to over 24,000 high-school students since 2019; National Recognition Programs, which annually recognize the academic achievements of over 90,000 underrepresented learners; BigFuture Ambassadors, which helps students share free college and career resources with their friends; and Real Talk, which provides relevant, authentic college and career content for Black students and families.



About the Opportunity



As the Director, K-12 Go-to-Market Implementation, you will coordinate cross-functional go-to-market efforts with other College Board teams including State and District Partnerships and Organizational Communications to measurably increase educator familiarity with and adoption of BigFuture School. To achieve these outcomes, you will manage, implement and track strategies that position BigFuture School as a resource for educators to help students connect their skills and knowledge to future planning, explore careers, and connect with colleges and scholarship providers. You will create resources, manage web pages, and deploy emails and other communications to inform and equip educators. You will also run efforts to connect with educators at College Board convenings and external conferences.



Roles and Responsibilities



K-12 Implementation (50%)




  • Track BigFuture School adoption and engagement metrics to monitor progress, find examples of successful district and school implementation and identify new areas of focus






  • Develop and update a cross-functional K-12 project plan with BigFuture School implementation and outreach milestones and dependencies






  • In partnership with the Engagement and Reach and Product teams, curate and develop product updates, messages, FAQ's, case studies and other materials to enable State and District Partnerships teams and other teams to stay informed and continually talk about the product






  • Collaborate with other divisions to identify and implement ways to elevate BigFuture School in K-12 communications alongside SAT and other College Board programs






  • In partnership with Market Insights, Product and other teams, systematically collect qualitative and quantitative insights to inform product development and implementation




Educator Resources, Partnerships and Outreach (30%)




  • Own development and refinement of the BigFuture.org educator page and K-12-facing resources to help educators share BigFuture School and BigFuture.org with students and families






  • In partnership with Engagement and Reach, develop and deploy emails to communicate BigFuture updates and share resources with teachers and administrators






  • In partnership with the Educator Ambassador program and Market Insights, systematically collect insights from teachers to inform positioning and resources




Conference Presence (20%)




  • Develop and implement a calendar and strategic planning for BigFuture presence at College Board conferences and external conferences






  • Quarterback planning and implementation of BigFuture demos and sessions at internal and external conferences






  • In partnership with the Events team and external vendors, manage design and production of conference spaces, branded merch and leave-behinds





About You




Preferred Skills and Attributes





  • 7+ years of experience implementing K-12 go-to-market strategies or customer success for ed tech products






  • Understanding of K-12 dynamics and empathy with educators at all levels






  • Commitment to the mission of helping all students own their future






  • Oriented to using goals to prioritize, gauge success, identify problems and reprioritize






  • Track record of collaborating cross-functionally to refine and successfully implement plans






  • High attention to detail and strong use of visible project planning systems






  • Clear, precise and compelling written and oral communication






  • Curiosity and eagerness to learn constantly and implement feedback






  • Ability to use Microsoft Excel, Tableau and other tools to track, analyze and synthesize data






  • Comfort with ambiguity






  • Willingness to pivot and innovate regularly, based on user data and feedback






  • Ability to travel for one to three days every other month






  • Eligible to work in the United States of America

The hiring range for a new employee in this position is $80,000 to $130,000.College Board differentiates salaries by location so where you live will narrow the portion of this range in which you can expect a salary.
