AWG/ UNFI Team Lead
SUMMARY: This position is responsible for the overall customer and business development for a MUST WIN Customers in Kanas City and Minneapolis marketplace. The responsibilities include but are not limited to:
MUST be in KC, Minneapolis or NWA
Key Responsibilities:
Achieve sales volume and financial objectives.
Develop and maintain strong, effective customer relationships.
Lead and grow Customer Development Managers (CDMs) on the team.
Align with Business Units to execute initiatives and strategies.
Provide effective, timely, and concise communication across internal and external organizations as it pertains to Tyson Foods' business with customers.
Additional Duties:
Build category growth with retail partners.
Meet distribution targets.
Develop promotional strategies that optimize trade promotional spending.
Collaborate with the Customer Development Insights Team and broker partners to align business development with consumer behavior.
Manage trade funds within assigned budgets.
Plan and monitor expenses to stay within travel and entertainment budgets.
Ensure timely resolution of Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable reconciliation and deduction management.
Keep management informed of market conditions, competitive activity, and marketplace intelligence.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Forecast and manage attainment of AOP goals and trade budgets for assigned categories.
Collaborate with team members, broker partners and the Customer - TRACE TPM, Apex and offline planners.
Ensure tactical adherence to the Category Business Plan and trade spending strategies across channels.
Contribute to the development of the Annual Growth Plan for all Business Units and Categories.
Execute 4Ps tactics aligned with category strategies and monitor key performance indicators.
Conduct post-analyses to assess plans, strategies, tactics, and initiatives (4Ps) for assigned categories.
Work with the team to optimize trade spending tactics, coordinating with CDMs and Customer Planning Analysts.
Maximize trade program effectiveness and efficiency and monitor trade spending.
Build and maintain relationships with SS&P and Sales Operations for effective category trade management.
Develop clear internal and external communications using category, consumer, and marketplace insights.
Lead the Customer Annual Planning process by category, working with TPM and SS&P teams.
Model behaviors that support Tyson Foods' RIGHT behaviors.
Establish and maintain productive working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
Provide effective leadership and management of direct reports and broker partners.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree required.
Experience: Minimum of 7+ years in sales leadership; 5+ years working with North American packaged goods categories.
Special Skills:
Strong financial acumen with in-depth financial analysis.
Intermediate analytical ability using proprietary and syndicated data sources.
Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Computer Skills: Advanced skills, including spreadsheet generation, presentations, and reporting.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Manage 4 CDMs and collaborate with Sales Planning, Category Development, Sales Operations, Customer Service, Returns & Allowances, Logistics, and Finance.
Travel: 10-12 trips per year.
