Prairie State College seeks experienced paramedic educators to teach our new Paramedic Certification Course starting in the Fall 0f 2024. Successful candidates will have a desire to engage a diverse student population in various levels of Paramedic education. The successful candidate will have a flexible schedule for teaching assignments. Paramedic class will be held in a morning and an evening format. The classes will be on Monday's and Wednesday's with the class times being 9:00am 1:30pm and 5pm - 9:30pm. We will use a pool of instructors to teach the various Paramedic subjects. Candidates for these courses should have some tech savvy and have experience in the Instructing environment.

Hourly Paramedic Instructor - 5 years' experience as a Paramedic - Must hold an Illinois Department of Public Health Certification as a Paramedic - Demonstrated oral, written and interpersonal communication skills. - Must be able to work in a multicultural environment that reflects the Prairie State College student body and embraces our vision and mission. - Must be proficient in technology use such as email, Microsoft Office (word and excel) - Experience in EMS classroom instruction in college, fire/EMS agency or hospital setting - Demonstrated commitment to the college's core values of learning, excellence, accessibility, respect and integrity.

- Illinois Department of Public Health Certification (NAEMSE) as a EMS Lead Instructor I

$30 per hour for IDPH Paramedic Certification and no EMS Lead Instructor Certification $35 per hour for IDPH Paramedic Certification and EMS Lead Instructor I Certification
