Volt is immediately hiring for Machinist (CNC programmer) in Pueblo, CO
As a Machinist you will:
Machine parts to specifications using manual tool room mills, lathes and grinding equipment.
Review and understand blueprints, sketches and specifications for machined and/or fabricated parts.
Work with a wide variety of materials including steel, brass, aluminum and composites.
Determine setting up requirements and select holding fixtures. cutting tools, and
attachments.
Calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feeding, depth and angle of cut.
Use machinists hand tools and measuring instruments to verify conformance of finished workpiece to specifications.
Follows safety regulations and reports safety violations to management.
Confers with engineers or others to resolve machining or assembly problems.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as geometry and trigonometry.
Program, set up and operate Mori Seiki CNC lathes with Fanuc controls.
Operate and set up Fadal and Haas CNC mills
Review and understand blueprints, sketches and specifications for machined and/or fabricated parts.
Work with a wide variety of materials including steel, brass, aluminum and composites.
Preparing and pre-setting all tools needed for machining operation.
Mounting, aligning, and securing tooling, attachments, and work piece on machine.
Calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feeding, depth and angle of cut.
Starting machine and monitoring displays of machine operation to detect malfunctions.
Stopping machine to change cutting tools and setup according to required machining sequence or to measure parts for conformance to blueprint specifications.
Entering commands or manually adjusting machine controls to correct malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining.

Requirements:
Proven experience as a Machinist, with expertise in operating and programming CNC machines, lathes, multi-axis machines, and manual machines.
Strong understanding of machining principles and techniques.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
Proficiency in using precision measuring tools and equipment.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification or degree in Machining, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field.
Experience with CAD/CAM software.
Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures in a machinery environment.
Pay Rate: $25 - $35 per hour depending on experience
Shift: Day Shift - 6AM - 4:30 PM M-TH 6 - 2:30 on Fridays
