Your Role:



EMD Electronics is seeking entry-level technicians for its MEGASYS® team. MEGASYS® is the branded name for the EMD Electronics services offering, where EMD Electronics technicians and engineers provide on-site gas and chemical/slurry management on an ongoing contractual basis. Technicians work on systems and maintain supply of chemicals and gases to a semiconductor manufacturing environment that makes the chips used in electronic devices.


This is a challenging, hands-on, and rewarding job opportunity for people who want to join a growing business. MEGASYS® personnel are assigned on a full-time basis, ranging from 7-day/24-hour coverage to periodic service calls. The scope of supply includes services maintaining the operation, maintenance, and repair of gas, chemical, and planar distribution equipment; bulk liquid gases management; container handling (cylinder, drum, tote, etc.); inventory management; gas and chemical blending equipment; chemical reprocessing; life safety systems; and first responder services. They will ensure compliance in operation and maintenance procedures, emergency preparedness, and drive flawless execution.


Technicians will be expected to work 12-hour shifts, as well as on a rotational day-to-night/night to day work schedule.


Technicians will be responsible for the safe operation of assigned chemical and/or gas distribution systems, with duties including:


  • Handling and change-out of gas, chemical, and slurry containers

  • Gas and chemical equipment troubleshooting and preventative/repair maintenance

  • Computer operations to support job functions and customer needs

  • Support of quality systems

  • Adhering to site protocols and demonstrating a safety-conscious approach

  • Primary communication point to customer



Physical Attributes:


  • 75% of time walking throughout the facility (3-5 miles per day)

  • Climbing of ladders up to 12-foot-tall (utilizing fall protection)

  • Basic lifting (up to 40lbs)

  • Bending of the knees and overhead reaching

Who You Are:




Minimum Qualifications:



  • High School Diploma or GED




Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience with gas-related equipment

  • Prior military service

  • Experience with gas and/or chemical delivery systems in ultra-high purity operation

  • MS Office proficiency

  • Willingness to work twelve-hour shifts

  • Willingness to work nights

  • Strong technical aptitude

  • Technical degree or technical training

  • Commitment to safety protocols and experience following OSHA standards

  • Excellent communication skills
