Judge Healthcare is seeking a Speech Therapist for an opening with a local school in the Collegeville, PA area.
Position Details:
Title: Speech Therapist
Location: Collegeville, PA 19426
Type of Engagement: Contract
Rate: Competitive and Dependent on Experience
Specific Duties:
Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive assessments of students to identify speech and language disorders, including articulation, fluency, voice, and language delays.
Individualized Treatment Plans: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to meet the unique needs of each student, taking into consideration their age, development level, and communication goals.
Therapeutic Interventions: Provide speech and language therapy sessions to students individually or in small groups, using evidence-based techniques and strategies to improve communication skills.
Progress Monitoring: Continuously monitor and evaluate students' progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to achieve therapeutic goals.
Collaboration: Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and parents to ensure a coordinated and holistic approach to student development and support.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, treatment plans, progress reports, and communication with relevant stakeholders.
Professional Development: Stay current with research and best practices in the field of speech-language pathology through ongoing professional development opportunities.
Advocacy: Advocate for students' needs and promote awareness of speech and language disorders within the school community.
Requirements/Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
State licensure and certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is preferred.
Knowledge of diverse assessment and intervention techniques for various speech and language disorders.
