The Director/Senior Director of Cell Therapy Partnerships will develop and execute a strategy to apply Bracco's microbubble technology to cell therapy development and manufacturing. This individual will collaborate with internal stakeholders, external partners, and industry experts to establish Bracco's technology as leader in the space. Preferred reporting location is Princeton, New Jersey with flexibility to offer hybrid working arrangement from this office.
Responsibilities:
Relationship Building:
Cultivate strong relationships with key industry players, including pharmaceutical and biotech companies, CDMOs, research institutions, and regulatory bodies.
Represent the company at conferences, industry events, and networking forums.
Leverage existing networks and establish new connections to drive business growth.
Scientific Expertise:
Possess a deep understanding of gene therapy development and manufacturing processes.
Translate scientific advancements into business opportunities.
Collaborate with R&D teams to assess the commercial viability of new innovations.
Strategic Planning:
Contribute to the development of long-term business strategies.
Align business development efforts with the company's vision and goals.
Monitor industry trends and adjust strategies accordingly.
Opportunity Sourcing:
Proactively identify and evaluate potential business opportunities in gene therapy.
Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and trend assessments to stay ahead of industry developments.
Build a robust pipeline of potential partnerships, collaborations, and acquisitions.
Transaction Leadership:
Lead negotiations, due diligence, and deal structuring for strategic partnerships and licensing agreements.
Collaborate with legal, finance, and scientific teams to ensure successful execution of transactions.
Drive alignment between internal stakeholders and external partners.
Communication Skills:
Articulate complex scientific concepts in a clear and concise manner.
Prepare compelling presentations, proposals, and business cases.
Communicate effectively with internal teams, executives, and external partners.
Qualifications:
Advanced degree (Ph.D., M.Sc., or equivalent) in a relevant scientific field (e.g., molecular biology, biotechnology).
Minimum 8-10 years of experience in business development, preferably within the life sciences sector.
Demonstrated success in sourcing and closing deals related to cell therapy.
Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset.
Deep understanding of cell therapy.
Strong negotiation skills and business acumen.
Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
Ability to work collaboratively across functions and geographies.
