The Role: Temporary Product Manager, Finance & Technology



This role will be part of Slalom's Financial Technology (FinTech) team. This is a shared services team comprised of all technology enablement, business intelligence and data, and project delivery teams that seek to improve the day-to-day operations of our Accounting & Finance and Operations team and business stakeholders.


Slalom's Finance Technology Team is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Temporary Product Manager. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of financial and/or operations products, strong technical acumen, and a proven track record of driving product development from concept to launch. This role requires a strategic thinker who can collaborate across various departments to deliver products that exceed customer expectations. They will have the ability to work in a strong team-oriented environment as well as be self-driven to work independently. The FinTech team primarily works remotely, using online collaboration tools to work together and stay connected.



What You'll Do



  • Assess business and customer needs and work with cross-functional product teams to find the fastest path to delivering values against those needs.

  • Make product decisions that drive value while keeping customer needs in mind.

  • Develop and maintain a prioritized backlog of user stories for implementation.

  • Work with delivery teams to develop release estimates and plans for the product.

  • Condense complex technical concepts into non-technical language for stakeholders.

  • Manage product team and stakeholder expectations to execute on business strategy.

  • Support agile development by writing user stories, acceptance criteria, testing, and analysis and participate in agile ceremonies (e.g., Refinement, Sprint Planning, Retro, Review, etc.) and principles throughout the product development phases.


What You'll Bring



• Multiple years of relevant experience to include exposure to product and development teams, UX, design thinking and Agile principles.


• Proficiency in lateral leadership, effectively aligning team members as well as stakeholders around a shared set of objectives to progress the goal of creating the right product in the organization.


• Proficiency in creating, prioritizing and accepting user stories.


• Experience launching a new product from concept through launch.


• Experience working with Accounting & Finance and/or Operations processes and technologies.

Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this position, the hourly pay range is $53 to $69. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
