This position provides leadership, direction, and coordination of team members in a manufacturing area with responsibilities for safety, quality, and productivity. This role actively participates and supports a work environment that is focused on lean and continuous improvement activities. Ensure quality goals and objectives are met on a daily basis
Ensure efficient location of materials
Monitor scrap for undue waste
Prepare reject tags as required and manage this process per policy
Monitor and improve the management of inventory

Ability to identify root cause, implement corrective action where gaps to the goals exist - strong problem solving skills
Responsible for supporting new and current team member activities - hiring, performance, management, transfers, promotions and disciplinary processes
Schedule work assignment to maximize production efficiency
Develop and monitor staffing plans to execute the schedule on time at the planned rate or better

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) in related field or equivalent work experience preferred
Minimum of 5 years manufacturing experience, with demonstrated leadership skills
Plastic molding experience in a leadership role preferred
Advanced skills in MS Office
Excellent organizing and leadership skills
Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
Exposure to lean manufacturing
Physical Requirements
This individual will be walking and standing the majority of the time as it requires a continuous presence on the manufacturing floor.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, sit; and use hands to type and write. The employee frequently is required to stand and walk. Occasionally the employee is required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch, and reach with hands and arms (e.g. climbing stairs, filing paperwork at, above, and below shoulder height). The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects such as boxes of 15-25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus to watch video monitor. The employee is required to work in an office environment with frequent visits to the production areas which are not climate controlled.
