1. Engages in building a positive and impactful student experience by creating a learning environment that is inclusive, engaging, safe, supportive, and effective in preparing students for the workforce.
2. Contributes to the curriculum development process by developing, evaluating, and refining curriculum to meet industry needs.
3. Supports incumbent training for partners by offering training solutions, developing training materials, and providing instruction.
4. Effectively delivers content to students via dynamic instruction including hands-on skills training. Ensures the proper balance of theory and relevant hands-on activities to support mastery of skills.
5. Provides students timely and constructive feedback on their progress including evaluation of their mastery of the course content and career applications.
6. Manages student behavior, and engages in intervention strategies aimed at student development, retention and engagement.
7. Consistently remains available to students for instructional support outside of the classroom.
8. Communicates effectively with program leadership regarding student achievements, concerns, and/or issues.
9. Engages in professional development/growth, in fulfillment of annual performance plans, and as required for certification. Stays current on industry trends by networking with employer partners, collaborating with other colleagues, and participating on advisory boards.
10. Partners with the Recruiting and Job Placement Team (RJP) on recruiting and placement activities, developing relationships with new hiring partners, and seeking internship/employment opportunities.
11. Performs other related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED: Must possess valid Florida Driver's License. Employee will be required to operate a college vehicle, including but not limited to on and between campuses and in the local community, in order to perform the essential job functions.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Education or training in or related to the specific field of instruction/courses taught.
Industry credentials/certifications or training directly related to the accelerated skill courses taught.
Work or field experience directly related to the accelerated skill courses taught.
Associate's degree from a regionally accredited institution.
Instructional experience in an accelerated skills training or related vocational field.Experience with creating and deploying student engagement and retention strategies.

This job primarily operates in a professional office environment. The employee will routinely operate standard office equipment including but not limited to computers, keyboards, mouse, phones, photocopiers, printers, scanners, filing cabinets and fax machines. While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
Typical physical competencies include but are not limited to frequently remaining stationary, moving, reaching, positioning self and occasionally ascending/descending, lifting/moving objects weighing between 5-15 pounds. This job also entails frequently communicating, discerning and exchanging information, detecting and perceiving objects up close, at a distance, and the ability to adjust focus. Cognitive abilities include but are not limited to frequently using discretion, judgment, reasoning, memory, learning, maintaining confidentiality, comprehension, problem solving, and decision-making.
