Environmental Technician



The ideal candidate will provide the facility with Environmental support to assure compliance with regulatory and corporate EHS requirements. Primary responsibility for collection of environmental samples for compliance determination. Be vigilant of issues and conditions that can affect their fellow workers. Report any issues that can impact the environment or the safety of the employees.



What will you do?

• Conducts facility environmental testing and sampling in accordance with strict regulatory procedures.
  
  


• This may include providing technical training to assist with on-going compliance.
  
  


• Performs inspections of plant areas to assure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  
  


• Troubleshoots and manages environmental field sampling data using an electronic database.
  
  


• Performs miscellaneous job duties as assigned.

• High School/GED required.
  
  


• Driver's License required
  
  


• 1+ years ofEnvironmental Health and Safety experience required.
  
  


• Entry level Plant Operations knowledge
  
  


• 1 - 2 years Microsoft Office Suite experience
  
  


• Ability to operate and maintain environmental field and laboratory equipment.
  
  


• Ability to obtain the following certifications and training within 6 months: Drinking water license, wastewater treatment license, visible emissions.
  
  


• 1+ years Environmental and Permitting Regulatory Matters experience preferred
