Position Summary:

The Mail Clerk will be responsible for processing funded files to ensure the efficient use of company resources and technical capabilities, for the secured collateral held by Stellantis Financial Services and our Custodian.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Perform clerical duties as needed such as filing, scanning, photocopying or faxing

  • Accept deliveries and notify appropriate employee.

  • Correct and reissue misdirected mail. i.e., return mail.

  • Monitor and process scan requests that are submitted to the SCAN mailbox.

  • Colloborate with manager and IT to resolve any software issues with the scanner or images.

  • Receive and track funded files and organize for scanning and prepares collateral file in accordance with established guidelines.

  • Assist with scanning documents for SFS, including but not limited to, the funded file, payoff documentation for refinanced loans, returned contracts files, contract title paperwork and disputes.

  • Prepare and forward collateral files to our Custodian as requested, in accordance with established guidelines.

  • Perform light receptionist duties such as answering and directing inbound phone calls, greeting visitors and accepting deliveries.

  • Maintain confidentiality when accessing personal information of consumers, including, but not limited to, Social Security numbers and dates of birth.

  • Other duties may be assigned; responsibilities and activities may change.

Required Experience:


  • Entry-level, no experience required.

Education:


  • High school diploma or a general education degree (GED).

Skills Required:


  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Good oral and written communication.

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

  • Prior knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word software.

  • Typing/keyboarding skills of 30+ wpm.



  • Overtime required as required on an as needed basis.


  • Travel 0-10% - as required on an as needed basis.


  • Must have reliable transportation and live within a commutable distance to one of the following cities: Houston, TX.

Qualifications Preferred:



  • Experience Minimum 6 months of clerical experience.

Work Schedule This position requires the ability to work various shifts to accommodate business needs. Typically, between the hours of 8AM-6PM Monday through Friday and on weekends as needed. Travel may be required 10% of the time.
