Epsilon Systems Solutions, Inc. is seeking a full-time Desktop Support Specialist II, with 2-6 years of experience, to join our team in Portsmouth, VA.

Summary: Assist with the day-to-day tickets and support of on-site and remote users in the Portsmouth, VA, Location. Will be responsible for break/fix tickets, desktop and desk side support tickets, as well as other duties as assigned.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs troubleshooting of desktops and laptops as well as mobile devices.

  • Participates problem-solving efforts often involving outside vendors and other support personnel and/or organizations.

  • Responsible for performing IT Related tasks for New Hire Orientation.

  • Establishes, maintains and manages user's accounts

  • Ensures that records of system downtime or other significant events are documented.

  • Assist with project directions and schedules to maximize benefits and minimize impacts on the customer organizations.

  • Travels to and from customer sights to support work.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree in Computer Science or related discipline (Relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement on a year for year basis.)

  • Two to six (2-6) years of Helpdesk / Desktop Support experience in a Windows Environment.

  • Possess hands-on experience with Microsoft Server 2012/2106 and the different role such as Active Directory, Files Services, DNS Server, and Web Server

  • Possess CompTia Security +

  • Experience with virtual servers and VMWare

  • Knowledge of file sharing. Know how to manage security groups and distribution groups and how to ensure that the correct permissions are given to the correct individual

  • Experience supporting an array of Microsoft products to include Active Directory and Exchange.

  • Ability to travel by car, air or other means of transportation

  • Applicants must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance

  • Pursuant to the various government contractual requirements, all applicants must be a U.S. Citizen.

  • Regular communication (hearing/speaking)

  • Noise conditions range from very quiet to very noisy

  • Prolonged use of computer (typing/keyboarding)

  • Frequently required to sit for long periods of time, stand, walk, and may occasionally lift and move at least 25 pounds
