Overview
Coordinate and Deliver Training
Provides training in patient care areas as well as the classroom
Instruct class in formal instructor-led training for new and experienced learners: EVS NEO, Standard Work, and other trainings.
Delivers specific training programs for EVS department, such as: Safety in Motion®, CHEST, and other approved programs.
Make sure training meets instructional objectives
Coordinate approved trainings and arrange for training rooms and equipment.
Assist in the design and development of courses and training material
Assist Manager in the design and development of various courses and trainings for new and experienced employees in EVS.
Evaluates EVS course content and training materials to ensure staff learn key objectives and concepts.
Conduct training needs assessment under the supervision of the Manager. This includes interviewing subject matter experts, conducting job analysis, and various methods of research.
Administers, and reviews course evaluations with managers that measure learner reactions to, and satisfaction with, a class and adjusts training accordingly.
Develops and implements instructor-led courses as prescribed by Manager and updates training materials and course curriculum for a variety of EVS needs to meet instructional objectives under the supervision of the Manager.
Maintain accurate training records for all employees
Enters information into Compass Learning Management System database for New Employee Orientation, Safety training, as well as training specific to position (required as on-going or as needed basis) records.
Provide support post-training
Assist trainees individually as needed. This could include assistance with computer based trainings and basic computer skills training.
Responsibilities
Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience; AND
1 year experience providing training, course design and web development including online courses, instructional design, technical writing, and understanding of theories, tools and methods of adult learning; OR
An equivalent combination of education and experience; AND
Strong presentation skills or public speaking experience.

Ability to prioritize projects and support multiple department functions simultaneously.
Ability to assess, design, deploy, and edit training materials.
Ability to give and receive feedback in a constructive manner
Qualifications
Master’s degree in a related field (Education, Writing, Communication, MBA)
3 years Adult Training experience (Classroom and Online Class Development) Healthcare systems experience.
Macintosh and PC operating systems, MS Office Suite
Learning Management System (Compass or similar system)
Knowledge of Environmental Services and Infection Prevention and Control Practices
