About the Position:  


The Regional Vice President (RVP) leads the P&L performance for a defined group of CRL branches.  Responsibilities include sales performance, EBITDA attainment and working capital turns achievement.  This individual will manage Branch General Managers and be a key conduit to the Los Angeles, CA corporate functions such as Marketing, SIOP, Sales Enablement and Sales Solutions. 


The RVP reports directly to the CRL SVP Sales.   All outside sales teams will direct report up to this role through the regional Branch General Managers.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:



  • Understand, emulate, and drive the CRL mission, vision and values on a daily basis

  • Manage the regional P&L at an aggregate level as well as at the branch level

  • Create strong relationships with key stakeholders at both senior and mid-management levels – both internally and with key customers

  • Work closely with colleagues on cross-region and business opportunities

  • Understand the competitive landscape and market trends

  • Understand and effectively communicate the company's value proposition

  • Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales plans for each Branch General Manager to execute

  • Maintain sales volume, product mix and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and the competitive landscape

  • Maintain sales & branch staff by recruiting, selecting, and onboarding employees

  • Develop and manage a high-performing team through effective goal-setting, evaluation, training, feedback, and coaching

  • Partner with internal teams on behalf of clients to ensure the highest level of customer service

  • Interface with technical support internally to resolve issues that directly impact customers

  • Work collaboratively with the sales and marketing teams and foster a culture of continuous process improvement

  • Leverage the CRM tool to drive efficiency and effectiveness


Qualification Requirements: 



  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 7-10 years of progressive management experience with a heavy emphasis on customer-facing activities

  • Experience in building products particularly those with a distribution & branch focus

  • Must be able to effectively build relationships, both internally and externally

  • Travel requirements 60%+

  • Must be an effective communicator with logical, organized verbal and written communication, and presentation skills. Strong interpersonal skills

  • Requires strong analytical, organizational and leadership skills

  • Strong computer skills – Microsoft Office suite & CRM (Salesforce or SAP)
