The Release Train Engineering Senior Advisor Responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of ART events and practices and assist Agile Teams in their success and the a ggregates team Program Increment (PI) objectives into Program PI objectives. Participates in PI Planning readiness; preparation of Vision and backlogs via Pre- and Post-planning. Establishes PI Planning readiness (when no value stream level exists) and facilitates PI Planning. Manages and optimizes the flow of value through the program using various tools.

Responsibilities:


  • Oversees delivery of work aligned to all scrum teams within the ART, ensuring work is delivered per the plan.

  • Provide more detailed oversight of larger projects within the ART, more akin to traditional project management.

  • Responsible for managing complex Intake requests, ensuring they are estimated in a timely manner.


  • Tracks estimate approvals, understands delivery timeline goals, and works with the product team to ensure approved work is aligned to the appropriate PI.

  • Ensures scope changes result in re-estimation and approval of additional funds when appropriate

  • Lead PI Planning preparedness with scrum teams

  • Leads weekly Scrum of Scrums

  • Facilitates ART events and practices and provides coaching to the ART during PI execution

  • Communicates with stakeholders, facilitates problem-solving, dependency management, and risk management

  • Supports the team as needed to help them meet their commitments

  • Representing OneView in program meetings, reporting out on status as needed

  • Creates space for problem-solving and facilitating decision-making Identifying opportunities for Agile Teams, leaders, and stakeholders to collaborate Creating an environment where everyone on the ART can share challenges openly.


  • Supports the product for multiple LOB's

  • Program role for managing multiple scrum teams to ensure coordination of tasks, competing priorities, and dependencies

  • They are integral to the ART leadership, collaborating with Product Management, the System Architect, and Business Owners to achieve effective outcomes on the ART. Beyond the ART, RTEs

  • Understand agile metrics used to measure team maturity, and aid leaders in understanding data cleanliness rules for accurate reporting. Proactively monitor data cleanliness in internal tools such as Jira.

Qualifications:


  • 3+ years of experience in agile software development

  • 2+ years managing staff or providing work direction, coaching and mentoring

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to present and communicate to executive level

  • Experience in budget management for projects and/or departments

  • Skilled in understanding how to leverage data to drive meaningful results, demonstrated analytical skills.

  • Skilled in building relationships across organization

  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Word, Outlook, Excel, PPT and Jira, confluence and SharePoint are critical; demonstrated ability to produce crisp, professional documents imperative

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree preferred.
