Responsible for the supply chain management functions associated with the purchase of aircraft parts and aircraft component maintenance, repair and overhaul services ensuring aircraft are mission ready. In coordination with senior staff, deploy inventory planning strategies, manage aircraft asset maintenance services, and procure required inventory to ensure supply chain continuity for aircraft materiel. Using data analytics, identify risks and opportunities to the supply chain and take appropriate action.
Essential Functions
Assists in supply chain functions for aircraft parts and maintenance services, developing inventory planning strategies, managing aircraft asset maintenance services, and procuring inventory to ensure supply chain continuity.
Participates in projects within Supply Chain Management that require internal and external participation.
Interfaces with other workgroups with Materiel and other departments within FedEx.
Assists with developing best practices for the department.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education
Bachelor's degree/equivalent preferably in Aerospace, Business, Supply Chain Management, or quantitative discipline.
Minimum Experience
Basic understanding of supply chain management. Knowledge of inventory planning, purchasing, repairs, warranty, project planning and/or supplier dispute resolution.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Experience with Office 365. Basic project management skills.
Recognized organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to review and interpret parts catalogs and technical documentation (i.e., manuals, drawings, schematics, engineering documents, etc.), desktop procedures and job aids.
Ability to perform analysis and participate in providing recommendations related to root cause to various levels of management. Ability to be mentored, coached, and trained.
