Responsibilities:
Design and prepare calculations and specifications for various water and wastewater projects, including utility pipelines, storage facilities, pumping stations, and treatment facilities
Prepare project plans for process water/wastewater, instrumentation and controls, site plans, and utility plans to support project approval and construction
Support in the preparation of technical reports
Conduct field investigations to assess site conditions
Inspect facilities and provide engineering support during design and construction
Participate with the construction administration, including project meetings, shop drawing reviews, and assist with reviewing and responding to RFIs
Evaluation and review of stormwater management permits and plans
Assist in preparing project punch lists, and completing periodic site inspections
Mentoring staff on engineering and plan preparation
Qualifications:
B.S. in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an ABET-accredited college
5+ years of relevant experience in civil engineering and consulting, focusing on municipal projects, including water and wastewater
Professional Engineer Registration (P.E.) required
Understanding of PA regulations specific to sanitary sewers, wastewater treatment, and water supply systems
Proficient in the use of AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation
Understand hydraulic modeling (WaterCAD, SewerCAD, or a similar software)
Ability to work within multiple design teams and meet demanding schedules
