Job Description:

The Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group (MAPMG) proudly provides the highest quality integrated care for over 800,000 members in Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia. We invite applications for a specialist in Urgent Care at our Largo Medical Center location.



In collaboration with the Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of the Mid-Atlantic States, we provide high-quality, patient-centered health care. Through this partnership, our physicians are part of an industry-leading healthcare delivery model, having access to advanced technological tools and receiving comprehensive practice support.


MAPMG physicians are salaried, without the pressures of alternative payment models or fee-for-services. Our members have easy access to specialists and medical records, thus allowing you to treat the whole patient.



What You Can Expect:

  • This position is listed as a 1.0FTE, which is the equivalent of 40 hours per week and is reflected in the salary listed below. Salaries can be prorated for working less than 40 hours per week
  • Non-Traditional outpatient urgent/ emergent medicine Opportunities
  • Direct patient care from our Emergency and Family Medicine Physicians
  • Observation Units staffed by our hospitalist teams
  • Differential pay for physicians working all nights or all weekends
  • Collaborative mixed-specialty department, comprised of emergency medicine, family medicine, and hospitalist physicians working together and learning from each other
  • 8-10 hour shifts
  • Advanced Urgent Care or Urgent Care settings
  • Limited overnight coverage
  • No Behavioral Health Observation
  • Work every other weekend and split coverage for holidays


Minimum Requirements:

  • MD or DO
  • Board Certified or Eligible in Family Medicine
  • Currently licensed or able to obtain licenses in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia

The starting annual salary for this position is $350,000 which considers an applicant’s skills and qualifications, certain degrees and certifications, training, market data, and other relevant factors.
