Your impact:

Delish is seeking an ambitious and detail-oriented Senior Editor to help lead digital content production. This position will edit and optimize news, features, and digital-first packages working with in-house and freelance writers. The ideal candidate has at least four years of professional experience in digital media and is fluent in best digital practices and has stellar copy editing and packaging chops.

What You'll Do:


  • Pitch, top edit, and assign stories, with an eye for voice, cohesion, digital best practices, and grammar

  • Liaise with writers, in-house and freelance, as well as central audience development teams and talent teams to achieve top-level content 

  • Track performance and data to inform editorial decisions

  • Manage and work with a strong, diverse roster of freelance writers

  • Write digital stories as needed

  • Ideate, assign, and help execute digital packages 

  • Collaborate with photo, social, and design teams

  • Support top-level editorial initiatives, as needed

Who You Are:                                                                                                                                     


  • 4 to 7 years of magazine media experience and digital storytelling

  • Strong copy editing and fact-checking background

  • A proven ability to receive, digest, and implement editorial feedback 

  • Fluent in best digital practices (headline writing, SEO optimization, analytics) with a nimble ability to translate them into cogent and entertaining text

  • Direct experience in top editing and working with freelance and in-house writers

  • Extremely detail-oriented and organized

  • Comfortable with CMS platforms and interpreting digital data from various platforms (i.e., Google Analytics, Parsely, Looker)

The base salary for this role is between $74,000-$75,000. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

This position is based in the NYC office a minimum of 3 days a week.

This is a position covered under the Writers Guild of America, East, Collective Bargaining Agreement.
