Title: Laser Cutting Operator
Pay: $24-$30
Location: Cranston, RI


Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Laser Press Brake Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will operate and maintain laser cutting and press brake machinery to fabricate metal components according to precise specifications. This role requires attention to detail, technical expertise, and adherence to safety standards.


Key Responsibilities:
Machine Operation:


Set up, adjust, and operate laser cutting and press brake machines.
Program and input job specifications into machines using CNC or manual controls.
Perform test runs to ensure optimal machine operation.
Quality Assurance:


Inspect finished products to ensure compliance with design specifications and quality standards.
Identify and correct defects or deviations in materials and processes.
Maintenance:


Conduct routine maintenance on laser cutting and press brake equipment.
Report malfunctions or safety concerns to the maintenance team.
Safety Compliance:


Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Collaboration:


Work closely with engineering and production teams to meet project deadlines.
Communicate effectively about issues, progress, and improvements.
Qualifications:
Experience:


Previous experience operating laser cutting and press brake machines (preferred).
Familiarity with CNC programming and machine setup.
Technical Skills:


Strong understanding of blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
Proficiency in measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and protractors.
Education:


High school diploma or GED (required).
Technical training or certification in machine operation (preferred).
Attributes:


Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Work Environment:
Regularly exposed to industrial noise and machinery.
