We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to oversee critical accounting functions and ensure the accuracy of financial reporting. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in maintaining compliance with accounting standards, mentoring junior team members, and driving process improvements within the finance department. This role is ideal for a proactive professional with strong analytical and leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Reconcile complex accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.
Manage fixed assets, depreciation schedules, and journal entries.
Assist in developing and monitoring internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
Support budgeting and forecasting processes by providing insights and accurate data.
Collaborate with external auditors during audits, providing requested information and resolving issues.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff, reviewing work for accuracy and compliance.
Drive process improvements and efficiencies within accounting operations.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite, or similar) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
