The Digital Information Management Specialist oversees the management, optimization, and governance of data spanning digital products. This role will have an initial focus on supporting the successful implementation of a Product Information Management (PIM) system and the syndication of a subset of product data to various channels, including our owned platforms and partner networks. This role develops the technical product controls and workflows to produce accurate, consistent, and enriched product data across all channels in service of a seamless customer experience. The Digital Information Management Specialist will collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SME's) throughout the organization including IT, Product Management, Marketing, and Master Data Management to establish product information workflows and integrate enterprise applications to support the company's digital strategy and growth.

Key Responsibilities Include:


  • Support the centralization and organization of product data within the PIM system, facilitating data consistency, accuracy, and enrichment across all channels and touchpoints.

  • Implement data quality controls, validation rules, and governance policies for digital products including PIM and Commerce platforms to maintain high standards of data integrity for customer facing product information.

  • Design and optimize workflows for product data creation, enrichment, approval, and publishing in alignment with defined business unit / product management team processes to reduce time-to-market for new products and improve operational efficiency.

  • Act as a liaison between departments such as IT, Master Data Management, Product Management, and Marketing, facilitating collaboration and alignment of merchandising data strategies across different business units.

  • Assist with web and digital activities associated with new product introductions and marketing promotions.

  • Manage PIM system integration configuration and monitor integrations with other enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, CRM, e-commerce platforms), ensuring seamless data synchronization and consistent product information across all systems.

  • Partner with IT to monitor and maintain EDI compliance and optimization.

  • Continuously monitor PIM system performance, data quality metrics, and user feedback, identifying areas for improvement and implementing optimizations to enhance system efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Adapt processes and scale the PIM infrastructure to meet evolving business needs, integrating new methodologies to enhance customer facing data management and customer experiences.

  • Provide actionable insights through data analysis to inform business decisions and strategies to be defined by the product management team leveraging product data as a strategic asset to drive growth and competitive advantage.

  • Provide training and support to users across the organization on how to effectively use the PIM system, educating teams on data entry best practices and taxonomy management leveraging digital product features.

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of PIM processes, standards, and workflows, generating reports on data quality, system performance, and project progress.

Qualifications include:


  • 2+ years of experience in product data management or related experience

  • Experience with Product Information Management (PIM) or Data Management preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Marketing, Business, or a relevant field

  • Intermediate to advanced-level MS Excel skills

  • Proven ability with importing, exporting, and updating large volumes of data to and from ERP and web platforms

  • Creative thinker and problem solver

  • Excellent listening, project management, and presentation skills

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
