Senior Flow Computer Services Specialist supports field operations and measurement and material balance in all support needs regarding new and production flow computers. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Compliance with all required safety standards.
Compliance with all required company and flow computer services procedures.
Assisting field operations in maintaining current production flow computer base.
Managing assigned capital projects regarding new flow computer procurement, programming, and checkout.
Upgrading applications and firmware as needed.
Auditing production flow computer configurations and programming as needed.
Troubleshooting and adding ethernet communication to each flow computer as needed.
Research and development of new flow computer technology both hardware and software.
Lab and field-testing both current and new configuration and programming functionality.
Assisting measurement and material balance back-office systems in data acquisition as needed.
Primary work location will consist of office online network support.
Up to 30% local on-site support may be required.
24/7 On-call rotation support.
Developing and presenting flow computer training both face to face and webinar as required.
The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:
High school diploma or G.E.D is required.
Valid driver's license is required.
Associate degree in an electronics or technical discipline is preferred.
Minimum of 5 years hands on experience with liquid flow computers is preferred.
Minimum of 8 years of pipeline or related industry experience is preferred.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft office applications.
Understands and demonstrates proficiency in the use of computer hardware and software.
Understands and demonstrates proficiency in the use of flow computer hardware and software.
Clear understanding and knowledge of API and GPA requirements in relation to flow computers and measurement and material balance.
Understands and demonstrates proficiency in troubleshooting primary, secondary, prover and tertiary devices.
Understands and demonstrates proficiency in analyzing P&ID and wiring diagrams.
Understands and demonstrates proficiency in the use of test equipment. (Multimeter, RTD calibrator, Oscilloscope).
Clear understanding and knowledge of polling systems used by pipeline control and measurement and material balance.
Lifting of the flow computer (approximately 25lbs.), heavier weights in the form of tools and personal luggage may be required during travel to field sites.
Extensive use of hands for using tools when connecting or disconnecting wires and when adding hardware or upgrading firmware.
Bending and squatting may be necessary to access the back-panel wiring terminals of the flow computers.
Up to 30% domestic travel as required. (Company pool vehicle, rental, personal vehicle, or air travel as deemed appropriate.)
