Job Title: Communications Manager

The Communications Manager role plays a pivotal part in shaping and executing communication strategies to effectively engage stakeholders, clients, and the broader community.



What You'll Do:



  • Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies to support organizational goals and initiatives.

  • Craft compelling messaging and narratives tailored to various audiences, including clients, employees, partners, and the public.

  • Manage internal and external communication channels, including but not limited to newsletters, websites, social media platforms, and press releases.

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of messaging and consistency in brand voice and image.

  • Proactively identify communication opportunities and potential risks, and develop mitigation plans accordingly.

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with media outlets, journalists, and industry influencers to enhance the organization's visibility and reputation.

  • Lead crisis communication efforts, providing timely and transparent communication to internal and external stakeholders as needed.

  • Monitor and analyze communication metrics to assess the effectiveness of communication strategies and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.

  • Provide guidance and support to team members and stakeholders on communication best practices and protocols.


What You'll Bring:



  • Proven experience in developing and executing communication strategies in a corporate or agency environment.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex information into clear and compelling messages.

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

  • Proficiency in digital communication tools and platforms, including social media management tools, content management systems, and analytics tools.

  • Strategic mindset with a focus on driving results and achieving organizational objectives through effective communication.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing communication challenges.

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, marketing, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in communications roles, with demonstrated expertise in strategic communication planning and execution.

Compensation and Benefits

Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this position, the pay range is $60/hour to $70/hour. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
