Job Title: Quality Control Supervisor - 2nd shift

The 2nd Shift Quality Supervisor provide training and scheduling of QC inspectors to support manufacturing schedules and assure compliance to Quality Systems requirements. This position creates the ISO 9001 internal audit schedule and ensures audits are conducted, as well as any follow completed. You will also issue and follow up on Corrective Action for defective material or non-compliant processes.
How you will help:
Develop appropriate training for hourly production and quality associates as directed by the Quality Manager. Maintain appropriate individual training records and department Training Matrix
Oversee scheduling and direct Quality Control Inspectors to assure adequate support to operations areas including production reporting, scrap analysis and reporting, inventory movements and proper manning.
Schedule, conduct, and administer the Quality System Internal Audits to assure that Quality System is in compliance with all desired system and ISO 9001 requirements.
Review scrap reports and QC checkpoint rejections in order to set priorities in the Foundry and Machine Shop to reduce scrap based on findings.
Coordinate monthly quality document reviews for the QC department and update documents.
Issue Corrective Action Requests (CAR's) and follow up to see that proper CAPA is enacted.
Continuously promote a safety-first culture, encouraging employees to report and address safety concerns proactively.
What you will have:
Associates degree management or technical field preferred.
Minimum of 5+ years experience in high-volume, foundry or machined cast products operation in an ISO-9001:2015 environment.
Must have a demonstrated and proven track record of bottom-line profitability impact, productivity/quality improvement.
Skilled at hourly work force supervision - Union workforce supervision a plus.
Must have strong work ethic, outgoing and assertive personality and must have excellent team-building skills with subordinates as well as with peers. Professional PC literacy skills in MS Word and Excel are required.
Must be able to work in a plant environment thus exposing themselves to normal foundry manufacturing conditions such as dust, fumes, metallic particles, sand, oils/lubricants, and outside weather conditions. Standard personal protective equipment will be required.
