RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client that is seeking an Android Developer in Carlsbad, CA.

Key Tasks:

• Android Developer will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including the company's cybersecurity experts, to define, design, and implement new features for the Mobile Dynamic Defense (MDD) product


• Enhance and maintain the user interface of the Android application, ensuring a seamless and secure user experience


• Optimize application performance, quality, and responsiveness, especially in disconnected and limited-network environments


• Manage connectivity for tactical radio, Wi-Fi, and cellular networks within the app


• As an Android Developer, you will implement and maintain security policies and device integrity, even when disconnected from remote management systems


• Integrate the app with other technologies at the tactical edge to improve operators' situational awareness


• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure the application remains competitive and secure

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field


• 3-5 years of experience in Android app development


• Proficient in Java and Kotlin


• Strong understanding of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices


• Experience with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services


• Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and practices, especially in mobile environments


• Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and libraries available for common tasks


• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements


• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail


• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
