Location: Falmouth, Massachusetts
The Nurse Educator (NE) participates in the overall planning, implementation and evaluation of a comprehensive program for competency-based staff education, including department orientation, mandatory education programs, continuing education, and quality/performance improvement activities. The NE collaborates with Nurse Leaders to implement organizational orientation, educational programming and quality improvement initiatives. The NE works jointly with the nursing staff to determine educational and resource related needs to advance nursing practice and support patient care and education.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
Strong interpersonal communication, problem solving and conflict management skills required
Demonstrated ability to use evidence to develop, teach, guide, and implement practice standards and policies required
Prior teaching experience required
Demonstrated skills leadership skills such as, communication, collaboration, mentoring, and change management.
Proficiency in Microsoft applications and other computer skills required
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Nursing required, current MA Nursing license required.
Master's degree in Nursing, Education or related field required or active matriculation in Master's program
Minimum of 3- 5 years of current clinical experience in nursing required
Training, and Certifications:
CPR Training required
Completion of CPR Instructor Training required
Association of Nursing Professional Development Certification (ANPD) preferred
