Aviara Healthcare Center is looking for a reliable, compassionate, and dedicated Receptionist to join and grow with our team!

Purpose: Provide services per the related job description which may include greeting, assisting and meeting with visitors and other duties. To be a kind, positive first interaction those may have with Aviara!

Duties/Responsibilities:


  • Provide general administrative and clerical support.

  • Greet and welcome patients, clients, and other visitors with a friendly and positive demeanor.

  • Answer telephone calls and take messages or forward calls.

  • Check visitors in and direct or escort them to specific destinations; Inform other employees of visitors' arrivals and cancellations.

  • Maintain visitor sign-in log.

  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail

  • Schedule appointments and maintain meeting room bookings.

  • Maintain and tidy the reception area.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Agree not to disclose resident's protected health information and promptly report suspected or known violations of such disclosure to the Administrator.

  • Maintain the confidentiality of all resident care information including protected health information.

  • Report known or suspected incidents of unauthorized disclosure of such information.

Education and/or Experience:


  • Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or GED.

  • Previous administrative or receptionist experience preferred.

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and employees.

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must have basic knowledge of Microsoft Suite products, clerical functions and multiline phone system.
