At Eglin AFB in FL, SA-TECH conducts concurrent land operations on the Eglin Test and Training Range (e.g., EW and land Remote Control Target operations at multiple sites) and seaborne operations in the Eglin Gulf Test and Training Range, plus deployed training missions outside of the training range along the Texas coastline and in the vicinity of Key West, FL.


SA-TECH provides Research, Development, Test and Evaluation management oversight for work performed including vessel/all targets Operations and Maintenance (O&M), design, integration, installation and O&M of remote control systems for land and sea going targets, Electronic Warfare (EW) systems O&M, FME Threat Replicas and Simulators O&M, and instrumentation/communications O&M.


In addition, we provide maintenance, to include preventive, corrosion control, and corrective and depot-level (for marine vessels) to keep EW, communication and instrumentation systems, land and marine targets, and support vessels operational to meet a demanding mission operations tempo.


We also perform mission pre- and post-test operations entailing test planning, scheduling, execution, at-sea target, land targets, EW assets and ranges, and recovery and data collection and management.


At Eglin AFB, SA-TECH is currently seeking to hire a Production Control Clerk to compile and record production data to compare records and reports on volume of production, consumption of material, quality control, and other aspects of production.


Specific Duties:

  • Compile and record production data from customer orders, work tickets, product specifications, and individual worker production sheets following prescribed recording procedures and using different word processing techniques.
  • Calculate such factors as types and quantities of items produced, materials used, amount of scrap, frequency of defects, and worker and department production rates, using a computer, calculator, and/or spreadsheets.
  • Write production reports based on data compiled, tabulated and computed and following prescribed formats.
  • Maintain files of documents used and prepared.
  • Compile detailed production sheets or work tickets for use by production workers as guides in assembly or manufacture of products.
  • Prepare written work schedules based on established guidelines and priorities.
  • Compile material inventory records and prepares requisitions for procurement of materials and supplies.
  • Chart production using chart, graph, or pegboard based on statistics compiled for reference by production and management personnel.
  • Sort and distribute work tickets or material and may compute wages from employee time cards and post wage data on records used for preparation of payroll.
  • Prepare documentation, reports, and correspondence in addition to data preservation and searches.
  • Prepare expense statements and maintaining general reports.
  • When directed, liaison with government test/project managers.
  • Monitor completion status of work orders.
  • Support calculating cost estimates and entry of cost data into proprietary programs.
  • Generate work orders, as well as property inventory and accounting.
  • Order parts and materials.
  • Advise contracting employees of pay status for outside vendor contracts.
  • Coordinate material and vessel movements to/from launch locations.
  • Monitor and update maintenance schedules for watercraft, equipment and employee training.
  • Timekeeping functions for deployed or unavailable employees and correcting timesheets when required.
  • Prepare orders for employees deploying off-shore.
  • Work with other administrative staff in arranging travel, lodging, and rental vehicles when/if required.
  • Work with other section supervisors to coordinate joint-utilization of employees for test schedules and requirements when directed.
  • Basic office functions such as answering phone, general filing as well as general housekeeping duties of personal work area.
  • Operate, inspect and maintain government vehicles as required by policies and regulations.
  • Other tasks as assigned if needed.

Work Conditions:

  • Work activities are normally performed in an environmentally controlled area.
  • Position requires sitting for long periods of time as well as grasping objects.
  • Must use a computer keyboard/mouse.
  • Must have close visual acuity.
  • May require some unassisted lifting, pulling, pushing or moving of objects or materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • This position may require some evening and weekend work and may require overtime.
Requirements:

Education/Experience/Skills:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of four (4) years' of relevant experience.
    • Six (6) years' relevant experience experience in lieu of education is acceptable.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent computer skills are required to perform data searches, prepare complex documents and reports, as well as verifying statistical reports for accuracy and completeness.
  • Must exercise a very high degree of personal initiative and trustworthiness.
  • A good working knowledge of troubleshooting, repair, alignment, and operation concepts for complex electronic equipment is desirable.
  • Should have an understanding of computer-controlled instrumentation, as well as analog and digital interface equipment.
  • Current Driver's License required; must be able to be insured through company's vehicle insurance policy while driving work/government/rental vehicles during working hours, and for the duration of employment.
  • U.S. Citizenship required and you must be able to obtain a U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance prior to hire date and maintain a Secret clearance throughout employment.
  • All candidates will be required to pass background screening to include SSN, Driver Record, and Criminal Background Investigation.
