Job Purpose/Overview
To utilize "World Class" training methodologies and processes to design, develop, administer, facilitate, and support education and training to improve technical skills and performance for new Associates and other Associates across the site
Key Responsibilities
Schedule and lead New Hire Orientation and record related training completion
Communicate with recruiters and hiring managers and support hiring events
Serve as an Education & Training (E&T) Pillar Team Member and Essential Element Owner (or Co-Owner)
Actively support each of the E&T Pillar's Essential Elements and adhere to Mars Supply Excellence (MSE) standards and processes
Maintain the Quarterly Training Plan for assigned area(s) and facilitate Factory Skills Gap Assessment meetings to review the Skills Matrix, identify skill gaps, create skill gap reduction plans, and discuss staffing needs
Use the site's learning management system (i.e., POKA) to record training completion
Pull periodic/quarterly/on-demand training reports, analyze data in Excel, and schedule trainings to ensure required trainings are completed on time
Obtain and utilize Teach/Coach/Assess, On-the-Job Trainer, and Expert Trainer certifications to deliver and support capability-building programs at the site
Facilitate Role Profile Workshops, and design, develop, build, and implement digital Step-Up Cards
Partner with Subject Matter Experts and other cross-functional roles to update training guides and assessments, create learning tools, and prepare to transition to Step-Up Cards
Develop and continuously improve processes for the Training Support Team and E&T Pillar to ensure process standardization
Prepare for and participate in external and internal audits related to training and knowledge assessment
Collaborate with other Training Support Team members to align on processes and goals, create materials, solve problems, and brainstorm improvements and new ideas
Serve as the training resource on new projects to ensure training is captured and transferred appropriately
Support the Functional Trainer Program by mentoring Functional Trainers, creating Step-Up Cards, brainstorming ways to support new Associates, and creating processes
Coordinate with Safety, Quality, Pillar Teams, and Value Streams to determine and ensure program compliance in all aspects of training and documentation
Administer virtual, classroom, and on-the-job training and assessments in support of department training program objectives
Follow and continuously improve Training Support processes as well as create new processes and related documentation (e.g., checklists, SWIs)
Participate in Community of Practice (CoP) calls and sharing best practices with other sites
Perform other job duties as assigned

Drive results for the site by taking ownership of training-related opportunities
Job Specifications/Qualifications
High school diploma/GED and 4 or more years training experience in a manufacturing environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Experience completing full training cycles (assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate, monitor, and evaluate)
Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time with attention to detail
Ability to understand complex processes and interact with multiple teams to ensure appropriate content for audience when creating training documents
Ability to collaborate in a team environment
Proactive team player who thinks ahead, plans, and suggests solutions
Ability to work with minimal supervision and deal with ambiguity

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Education, Human Resources, Business Management, or a related technical field and/or 5+ years of experience in a related role
Experience with a learning management system (LMS)
Experience with Knowledge Capture (e.g., creating One Point Lessons and Standard Work Instructions) and/or Knowledge Management (e.g., document control)
Experience with Training Design and Development (identifying objectives, creating learning materials, creating assessments, implementing training)
